Explore your experience in the world with mindfulness to become more aware of your thought and behavior patterns, somatic and emotional responses (body messaging)- with awareness comes information and choice.

Self-Compassion

We all have a strong inner critic geared to notice negative and threatening cues for our evolutionary survival; however, we can cultivate self-compassion to meet the tender parts of ourself with more love and gentleness to grow; soften with self-compassion to allow more room to not only survive, but thrive.

Acceptance

Embrace your experience in an empowered way instead of avoiding or pushing away thoughts and feelings; acceptance of what is will ease the struggle of trying to control everything and allow more room to simply be; thoughts and feelings that were once threatening have less power, and in turn you are empowered.

Transformation

Through exploring your experience and gaining awareness, acceptance and self-compassion for your process - you inevitably transform and are able to create the life you want to live.

My Approach

I have an eclectic and holistic approach. I integrate psychodynamics, somatics and energy work.

Most importantly, I value the therapeutic relationship. Humans are hard-wired for connection; healing happens in relationship with another.

Mindfulness

Focusing your awareness, becoming more conscious - our reality is the present moment

  • moment-to-moment noticing of what’s happening in the body

  • cultivating a non-judgmental 3rd observer (seeing yourself/your experience outside yourself/not attached) to notice your thoughts, feelings and behaviors

  • guided meditations to bring you more into the present moment and more mindful of your experience

Energy Work

We are electromagnetic beings and have the ability to move our energy and release unwanted energy; emotions are energy and can get stuck in the body and manifest into physical and psychological stress

  • guided meditations (often working with the chakra energy centers)

  • guided breath-work or imagery

  • guided inner work (eyes usually closed) to notice, transmute, and release energy

Somatics

Body messaging - your body is wise and holds innate knowing of what you need; what is your body telling you emotionally, physically, energetically?

  • bring awareness to how you are experiencing certain emotions in the body (tightness in the chest, bracing in the shoulders, longing in the gut/stomach, etc)

  • increase or decrease the intensity of bodily postures to provide your body with more range of experience and to re-wire physiologically for more agility

  • trauma can also detach us from the body or energy can get stuck in the body; somatics can help you metabolize unprocessed emotions/energy and restore the body as a place of safety

Spirituality

What is consciousness? What are humans next step of evolution? Why am I here? What is my purpose? Is there a higher power or divine order to this life? there are no right or wrong beliefs; whatever resonates with you and your values
